bankruptcy of the defendant. Where defendants have sought to avoid liability by concealing corporate assets through leveraged buy-outs and in complex parent-subsidiary corporate hierarchies, whether through
bankruptcy or otherwise, we have been successful in litigation to reach the assets of the culpable parties in order to obtain compensation for the victims.
